Hey GM’s!
Another season is upon us and I’ve taken the time to put together a quick little team by team breakdown. I’m well aware of how fluid this fantasy game is so I won’t be naming everyone’s roster from top to bottom…just a few players here and there. Rosters will change radically over the year so nothing’s set in stone. but we shall see….but I’m basing this on the rosters I see now.
Dawg Pound Warriors
@ 1st glance, the special teams are taken care of. Insane starting set of WRs, RBs and TE.
WR depth is bit lackluster and there are a few question marks on the team.
Sam Bradford as the starter?
On 3..Ready Break
Foster and Sproles should cause many teams some problems this season….as will Gates & Torrey Smith
Cutler being drafted ahead of Cam Newton & Matt Ryan? I don’t know about that…
And that roster depth….
Suicide Kings
The starting lineup will be a issue on a weekly basis. Talent aplenty. It pains me to see some of my draft choices on your team. (Yes, I’d already claimed them in my head…)
Depth might not be the best at all positions
Peyton and Romo at QB should be make for an interesting weekly choice on who to play….
Got my eyes on you..
X-Men
Four very good WRs and scooping Rashad Jennings off of waivers may reap season long benefits. Very good depth @ RB.
The depth at the passing positions isn’t that appealing @ 1st glance.
Eli and Andy Dalton @ QB? Nay I say. And keeping Adrian Peterson after 8 months recovery from knee surgeries?
Curb Your Enthusiasm
The starters all have plenty of sex appeal. Speed and/or talent throughout the roster. Special teams is rock solid.
RB depth might be an issue and your starters are injury prone but if it all comes together….
Doubling up on Carolina’s run game….just to spite yours truly…
Easy Breesy Beautiful
Another year, another bit of reliance on Drew’s arm to do some heavy lifting. Good talent here and there.
WRs and overall depth is a concern for you. I sense this team won’t look the same by year’s end.
Some of these players on the team though…
Absolute Chaos
Good WRs, some with plenty of upside. You need Philip Rivers to become elite and you’ll probably live or die with the pass this season.
Solid depth @ the passing position, depending on who shakes out between Vick and Roethlisberger. You’ll have a helluva time choosing a starter each week.
Frank Gore as your main horse in the RB stable?
LXG
Jimmy Graham and a couple of speed options @ RB and WR give you a threat on a weekly basis. Good RBs with upside. Probably the most run heavy team here in terms of depth.
Auto-draft gave you a few obstacles to climb concerning the roster but Brady should help you out pretty majorly this season.
And for me having an ethernet cord so you could get in the draft?
18-1
Snagging Cam Newton and Ray Rice on autodraft settings is an amazing haul. Good starting unit…also a potentially run-heavy unit.
Only one WR on the bench could be a concern down the road.
Don’t think I don’t know what’s going on with that NYG backfield
Last, but definitely not least….
Kansas City Shuffle
This team here? I’m not seeing a single, solitary flaw. Beastliness at any position you look at. Sheer dominance. Brilliance. Every single choice – a masterstroke of genius! Can anything bad be said about the gloriousness that is my team?
What was that?
Running back depth and my TE position is looking kinda suspect?
Alright so I guess I’ve got work to do myself…..No one’s perfect…whatever…..
I’ll be alright @ season’s end…You watch!
I won’t be naming any pretenders/contenders @ the moment. We’re trying out a new format with some new wrinkles to incorporate so I’ll give the league 4 weeks and start making some prognostications then. We’ll see how everyone manages their squads and i think things will shake out a little bit There may be trades, injuries, etc….so come back here during the 4th week of the season and ill look @ the crystal ball and see what visions come forth….
And I’m gone…
