No witty lines here. Just watch the master work his magic.
All I’ll say about Barry is that I do not think I saw enough of him as a youth growing up due to Detroit being in a small market.and the team sucking something serious.
Barry was the main reason to watch that team play. This video makes that evident.
I’m glad he was able to walk away when he wanted to. The selfish NFL fan in me wishes he stayed a little longer but if I had to choose, I’d rather see him walk away now rather than pull an Emmitt Smith/Jerry Rice and smear the complete image I had of him.
This has to be one of my favorite hits from an offensive player in all of my years of watching football. ALL TIME. Greg Jones of FSU fame (who coulda been a contender in the NFL if he was ever given a proper shot) in a game vs North Carolina…ABSOLUTELY PUNISHES Dexter Reid, a CB trying to make the tackle. If I was Dexter, I would’ve walked off the field after that play and taken off my pads, jersey and cleats and then declare that I was leaving football. Maybe pick up a major in Communications, start a family in rural Montana, you know…just get myself out of being associated with a play like this!
Hard to say that this isn’t best throw I’ve seen in my life. The touch….the feel….The fabric of our lives..
I remember how much of a heartbreaker this was ….LOOK @ THE WHEELS HE HAS! He streaks down the sideline and it looks like the corner has an angle on him, and he flat out roasts him…
Big hit in college football this year. Too bad the Orange caught the L after a hit like this…Whew!
